Hello Henry 💛 you picked the bestttt family little buddy. What a wild, full circle moment with these wonderful people, photographing their second child surrounded by my photos of them from previous sessions capturing the different seasons of their lives. And what a beautiful little life it is 💛 This family is the embodiment of full-hearted JOY🌸 We were all soaked to the bone within minutes of hitting the water, yet not a worry in the world was had for their beautifully coordinated clothes - fun was the name of the game and this family plays hard. Such a beautiful thing to watch, totally carefree, I couldn’t stop taking photos, just look how happy they are! We used up every single second of light and even with the sun long gone we chatted about parenthood and played until it was too dark to see each other. Total bliss 🌸 So behind on sharing at the moment, I’ve had my head in the editing game hardcore and now I’m spoilt for choice. Absolutely loving this sun-drenched collection from the middle of winter (Perth are you kidding me?!?) and this is only PART ONE 😳 when I tell you I was relieved this beautiful mumma wanted to upgrade to receive the whole collection, thank god because my heart couldn’t bear to part with any of them. I physically cannot fit anymore photos into this post haha but just waitttt until you see the sunset we scored this night 😱 part two coming soon… Whenever I get to my location for a photo shoot I usually find myself having arrived much earlier than my client. Waiting in the carpark I’ll often open up the boot, sit on the edge, link my speaker to my phone, start up my carefully curated playlist, take a few seconds to try and centre myself. But as every vehicle enters the carpark a little flicker of excitement and nerves runs right through me. Is that them? More often than not I’ve never met these people I’m about to take 1000+ photos of, maybe I’ve never even seen a photo of them. With the glare from the setting sun obscuring my view through the approaching windscreen I tentatively wave…is that them? The cute, awkward moment before I’ve realised it’s them and they’ve realised it’s me. I’m careful not to wave too hysterically until I’m sure and then the excitement overflows, I’m just so happy that they are here. All wrapped up in their baby boy 🤎 these 3 have the most special place in my heart, watching them all grow together these past few years is just the greatest feeling. So looking forward to meeting the little babe who was hiding in that beautiful bump this weekend. I just loved this family maternity session under a moody winter sky with my treasured repeat clients 🩵 Marley Ray, you picked the best family little dude 🥰 so lucky to photograph your boy @alyssadelphotography so fresh and tiny 🍯 more than a week old already, time just moves SO much faster with your second (and third etc.) he will be running circles around us with the whole crew in no time 😵‍💫🤣 Our glowing mother-to-be at Sophie Lea’s workshop this week 🤍 I loved learning from and creating with you Sophie. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to us, thank you for believing in us all and this industry with all your might, thank you for lighting the fires in our creative hearts and helping us rediscover the joy in the service of our clients. We felt your uplifting support in every encouraging word and lightbulb moment, we felt your solidarity in every shared experience. We left so excited and inspired and more deeply connected to this special community of women, a ripple effect that will extend far beyond our time with you.
